Vacuum Cupping Therapy

Back at home in Ecuador, I went to school for environmental science but after a couple of years, I realized that was not the career path for me. After trying multiple things, one thing was clear. I wanted to help people. That is how Massage Therapy became my pathway.

When I came to the United States in 2017, the opportunity of going to massage school was offered. To be honest, I did not have much experience in the matter. I remember going to my first class having never received a massage in my life. Crazy I know! Along the way, I started to experience all the benefits that massage brings to one’s life. I quickly knew that was the way I wanted to serve and be helpful to people. In collaboration with a chiropractor and physical therapist I opened my own studio. I cannot highlight the amount of knowledge and experience that I acquired that first year. I learned to listen and understand each client’s body and to be compassionate and humble in the room.

After practicing Therapeutic and Deep Tissue Massage, I discovered that while those techniques are incredibly beneficial, they did not suit my personal style. I decided to specialize in vacuum cupping massage. Not only I fell in love with the technique and efficacy but the benefits that I saw every day with my clients were outstanding. I saw there is no need for pain to improve mobility and posture. Conditions of chronic and acute pain can be relieved with minimal discomfort and tense muscles softened quickly and easily.

Vacuum cupping draws inflammation out from deep within the tissues, increases local blood supply to the muscles and skin, and allows toxins to be carried away. Massage cupping is a wonderfully effective way to release restrictions in fascia and scar tissue. The action on the nervous system is sedating and people often fall into a deep state of relaxation.
